Boy, 11, airlifted to Greenville hospital '


Wild dogs in Clinton mauled an 11-year-old boy at a Livingston Street bus stop this morning. The city has been warned for months by Council Member Anita Williams about dogs roaming on Livingston Street, where the mauling took place, Gary Street and other residential areas.

The boy was airlifted from Clinton to Greenville Memorial Hospital for treatment. He was treated on the scene by Clinton Police officers, a report said. A neighbor saw the pack of dogs and beat them off the wounded child. The incident happened about 7:40 a.m. (Feb. 14), a report said.

Two dogs were found and put down; two escaped, but one has injuries. Call 911 to report aggressive dogs, the Clinton Police advised.
