LCSO has announced: “The Laurens County Sheriff's Office is seeking information relating to the May 11th shooting that occurred at the Ware Shoals Dragway and resulted in the death of 17 year old Calvin Lamont Parker Jr.
“Investigators are asking for videos taken shortly before, during, and after the incident which happened at approximately 7:45PM. Even if the video did not capture the shooting itself, it could still be important for investigators to see.
“One investigator explained, ‘Even if someone thinks their video didn't capture anything, we would like to see it anyway. Something that may seem small and unrelated could be crucial to this investigation.’
“Videos and information should be sent to info@lcsosc.com. Your identity will be kept anonymous throughout the investigation.
“Tips can also be submitted to CrimeStoppers (www.p3tips.com). Information leading to an arrest could result in a reward from Laurens County CrimeStoppers.
“As this is an ongoing investigation and to protect the integrity of the case, we will not be releasing further info at this time. Thank you for understanding.”
The Index-Journal report says Parker is from Greenwood.
