Demanding money at gunpoint from two people in Laurens last Thursday was alleged with an arrest by Laurens City Police. The suspect was jailed with bonds totaling just short of a quarter-million dollars. 19-year-old Adrian Adonis Simpson Jr. of Beaverdam Church Road, Mountville is charged with two counts of Armed Robbery, two counts of Kidnapping and two more charges alleging Possession of a Weapon During a Violent Crime.

Warrants say a police investigation indicates that on July 18th Adrian Adonis Simpson Jr. pointed a firearm at two victims and demanded money from them, this in the area of 1st Street and 3rd Street. He allegedly took $100 from one victim, while from the other he reportedly held the victim, forcing an electronic transfer of $400 via CASHAPP.

With cash or surety bonds set at $50,000 on each of the two Armed Robbery charges and the two Kidnapping warrants, and $20,000 on each of the weapons offenses; Adrian Adonis Simpson Jr. was being held with bonds totaling $240,000.
