Local Players in July 17 parade, event

SOUTH CAROLINA DISTRICT ONE HOST TEAM HAS BEEN NAMED FOR THE 2024 SENIOR LEAGUE BASEBALL WORLD SERIES

Easley, SC - July 11, 2024 - Easley Little League, in conjunction with Hendrick Honda, is delighted to announce the final selection of 16 standout players for the 2024 South Carolina District One Host Team for the Senior League Baseball World Series. Chosen from a pool of over 50 talented registrants across our district, these young athletes will represent their community in the Senior League World Series tournament, set to take place from July 27th to August 3th at the JB Red Owens Complex in Easley.

Following rigorous tryouts, the top 30 players were invited back for further scrutiny. From this esteemed group, the final roster of 16 players were selected. The team showcases extraordinary talent from Little League’s South Carolina District 1:

★ Braydon Burke - Laurens Academy

★ Tristan Buzbee - Laurens

★ Graham Campbell - West Oak

★ Walker Cox - Easley

★ Camden Finley - Clinton

★ Banks Gambrell - Easley

★ Jaydon Glenn - Clinton

★ Jack Jarisch - Powdersville

★ Tobie Lowe - Walhalla

★ Brayden Patterson - Laurens

★ Collin Phillips - Walhalla

★ Bradley Runion - Pendleton

★ Cooper Sears - Easley

★ Ty Simpson - Daniel

★ Luke Young - Clinton (All players not pictured)

Under the leadership of Manager George Turmon, Coach Todd Miller, and Coach Dean Hall, these players are poised to deliver stellar performances in the tournament.

"The level of talent we have seen this year has been amazing! The efforts to encourage every eligible player to try out have truly paid off. The competition was tougher than ever, making the selection process longer but very rewarding," said Kelly Osteen, President of Easley Little League.

"Our inclusive approach last year has built a stronger, more confident team this season," Osteen continued. "We can't wait for the tournament to start and to see these players shine on the field. Thank you all for your unwavering support and dedication.”

“Meet the Team” Event

To celebrate and support the team, a "Meet the Team" event will be held at Hendrick Honda on July 17th at 6:00pm. The event will kick off with a parade starting at 5:40pm from JB Red Owens Complex to Hendrick Honda. Fans are encouraged to line up along the route to cheer on the team as they make their way to Hendrick Honda. This event is a fantastic opportunity for the community to meet the players, coaches, and volunteers who make this all possible. We invite everyone to join us for an evening of fun as we gear up for the tournament.

Parade Route: JB Red Owens (below the gym) – Right onto Pope Field Road – Merge to Walker Ellison – Right onto Hwy 8 – Merge on 123 – Turn right into Hendrick Honda.
