The Presbyterian Blue Hose men’s and women’s basketball programs will hold Blue Madness this Thursday, October 30, at 7 p.m. in the Templeton Center.
Beginning at 7 p.m., Trunk or Treat in the Templeton Lobby with a meet and greet and autograph posters signing with the men’s and women’s teams. Starting at 8 p.m., DJ Sha will introduce both teams on the court in Templeton. Skills and three-point shooting contests with the men’s and women’s teams. The men’s team will hold a dunk contest.
Tickets will be handed out to students until 8:15 p.m. for a chance to win a set of Beats Headphones. The winner will be announced near the end of Madness.
Admission is free.

Former Blue Hose Standouts Jamahri Harvey, Kaleb Scott, and Kobe Stewart Sign Pro Contracts
Former Presbyterian Blue Hose standout basketball players Jamahri Harvey, Kaleb Scott, and Kobe Stewart have signed pro contracts. Harvey, Scott, and Stewart played major roles in helping the Blue Hose make consecutive postseason tournament berths while earning the highest seed in the Big South Tournament last season.
Harvey signed with the BBC Rendsburg Twisters in Germany. Over his two-year career at Presbyterian after transferring from UNC Wilmington, Harvey tallied 21 double-figure scoring games. Harvey saw action in 53 games with 46 starts as a Blue Hose. In his first game as a Blue Hose, Harvey scored a team-high 13 points in Presbyterian's win at SEC foe Vanderbilt on November 7, 2023. He scored a career-high 21 points in Presbyterian's road win at North Florida, November 16, 2023.
Scott signed with A.C. Papagou in Greece. Over his two-year career at Presbyterian after transferring from Georgia State, he recorded 17 double-figure scoring games and three double-doubles. Scott saw action in 66 games with 58 starts as a Blue Hose. He scored a career-high 22 points twice, including 22 points while grabbing a career-high 14 rebounds in Presbyterian's home win over USC Upstate on February 5, 2025. In his final home game, he scored 21 points and grabbed seven rebounds in Presbyterian's win over Gardner-Webb on Senior Day, March 1, 2025.
Stewart signed with the San Antonio Spurs G-League team, the Austin Spurs. Stewart finished his record-breaking Presbyterian career ranked first in steals (157), third in rebounds (594), fifth in field goals made (470), fifth in points (1,207), seventh in three-point field goals made (126), seventh in assists (210), and eighth in blocked shots (52) in the school's Division I era. He played in a school-record 151 games, while recording 49 career double-figure scoring games. Last season, he earned Second Team All-Big South honors.
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Presbyterian College Blue Hose men's basketball senior forward Jonah Pierce was named Second Team Preseason All-Big South. The Blue Hose were picked sixth in the preseason coaches' poll.
JONAH PIERCE
Last season, he played an integral role in helping the Blue Hose capture the Axe-Em Classic title. In last season's opener, he went 11-for-11 from the field while scoring a game-high 22 points at Charlotte, which put him over the 1,000 career points plateau. Last year, he suffered a season-ending injury after eight games, leading to a medical redshirt. In his career at PC, he has tallied 14 double-figure scoring games and three double-doubles.
Pierce is the sixth different Blue Hose player to garner preseason All-Big South recognition.
BLUE HOSE PICKED SIXTH
Presbyterian's preseason pick of sixth in the Big South is the highest preseason ranking for the Blue Hose since being picked fourth in the 2010-11 preseason coaches' poll.
The Blue Hose welcome back eight returners from a 2024-25 roster that earned a second straight postseason tournament berth. Joining Pierce as returning letterwinners are junior guard Carl Parrish, redshirt junior forward Jaylen Peterson, sophomore guards Iverson King, Triston Wilson, and Luke Allison on the Blue Hose roster. Redshirt freshman Chidi Chiakwelu and redshirt sophomore guard Khalon Hudson will see their first action as Blue Hose after redshirting last season. Joining the returners are talented newcomers, sophomore guards Erik Taylor and Josh Pickett, and freshmen guards Amare Anderson and JD Bowden, and forward Augustine Ayelyine.
Last season, Presbyterian won seven Big South Conference games, tying for the fourth most Big South wins in the program's history. Presbyterian's seven wins were the most league wins by the Blue Hose since winning seven Big South contests in the 2019-20 season. The Blue Hose earned the fifth seed in the Big South Tournament, which was the highest Big South Tournament seed in the program's history.
