ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The Pioneer Football League celebrated a new all-time high on Thursday afternoon by eclipsing 800 players on the conference’s Academic Honor Roll. Among that record-setting group, Presbyterian College was represented by 59 individuals.
This is the third consecutive time that at least 50 PC student-athletes qualified for the PFL Academic Honor Roll, signifying the team’s excellence in the classroom that mirrored their historic season on the field.
The PFL Academic Honor Roll was created in 2001 by conference administrators to recognize the outstanding classroom accomplishments of its athletes. The league has recognized over 12,000 players on the Honor Roll in its 25 seasons.
In order to be included on the Honor Roll, one must obtain a 3.0 grade-point average during the fall semester while being enrolled full-time in accordance with NCAA rules.
Presbyterian grabbed nationwide headlines last year, winning 10 games for the first time in two decades and reaching as high as #16 in the AFCA Coaches Poll (a feat that no team from the Pioneer League had accomplished since 2009).
All 59 PC players who made the PFL Academic Honor Roll can be found below, listed in alphabetical order along with their major.
