Fatalities
The Laurens County Coroner’s Office has issued these statements:
“Laurens County, SC – Per Patti Canupp, on March 1, 2026, shortly after 6:00 PM, Deputy Coroner Randy Riddle was notified of a death that occurred at Prisma Health Greenville Memorial Hospital.
“The incident occurred on March 1, 2026, shortly before 2 pm. at the decedent’s workplace, ISOFlex Packaging in Gray Court, SC.
“Preliminary information indicates that the death resulted from injuries sustained from a fall. The decedent has been identified as 47-year-old Jason Lambert of Laurens, SC. An autopsy was performed, and the results are pending at this time.
“The incident is currently under investigation by the Laurens County Coroner’s Office.”
“Per Laurens County Coroner Patti Canupp, On 02/23/2025, Chief Deputy Coroner Ashley Rushton was contacted in reference to an 18-wheeler vs pedestrian that occurred on 385 near mile marker 20 in Gray Court around 5:40pm. The pedestrian has been identified as 29-year-old female, Melody Pyles of Gray Court, SC. The incident is being investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol and the Laurens County Coroner's Office."
