The Wilder Stadium Improvement Committee announced last week that the launch of its renovation plans has been put on hold until the fall of 2016.
The effort to raise private funding for the project will continue, the committee said in a news release.
The decision to postpone the launch of renovation plans came as the result of a recently-completed feasibility study concerning the renovation project.
“The positive enthusiasm for the project was overwhelmingly clear, however funding for the costs of the renovations and improvements remains a concern,” the news release said.
“The committee wishes to thank the local individuals and businesses that are contributing to this effort. They also wish to thank the individuals, businesses and industries that participated in the study.”
