Eggs Up Grill Brings Better Breakfast to Laurens with New Restaurant Grand Opening

 

South Carolina-based restaurant to celebrate the Laurens grand opening with specials, giveaways and a week-long celebration beginning October 6

 

LAURENS, S.C. – (Oct. 2, 2025) – Eggs Up Grill, a neighborhood favorite and the fastest-growing "better breakfast" restaurant franchise in the country, will celebrate the grand opening of its newest location in Laurens, South Carolina, with a five-day celebration featuring specials and giveaways beginning Monday, Oct. 6. An official ribbon-cutting ceremony with the Laurens County Chamber of Commerce will take place Thursday, Oct. 9, at 10 a.m.

The new Laurens restaurant, located at 112 Fleming Street, is franchisee Daniel Fort’s second Eggs Up Grill, joining his existing location in Hendersonville, North Carolina. A former Chick-fil-A operator, Fort brings valuable restaurant experience and a passion for community-focused hospitality to the brand. The Laurens opening reflects both his continued growth as a multi-unit operator and Eggs Up Grill’s expanding presence across its home state.

The restaurant brings Eggs Up Grill’s fresh-made breakfast, brunch and lunch to the Laurens community seven days a week. Known for its welcoming atmosphere, family-friendly environment and approachable menu, Eggs Up Grill is quickly becoming a go-to spot for communities across the Southeast.

Center to Serve Customers in Laurens, Greenwood, Anderson and Union Counties, Including Those in Newly Launched Rural Broadband Expansion Areas

 

LAURENS, S.C. – October 2, 2025 Spectrum today announced the opening of a new Spectrum Field Operations Center which will help provide seamless connectivity for Laurens, Greenwood, Anderson and Union County customers, including more than 6,000 additional locations that are part of Spectrum’s rural construction initiative.

The new facility, located on Templeton Rd. in Laurens, will house nearly two dozen Spectrum Field Services technicians and construction coordinators.  

Field Services employees deliver technical customer support, ranging from new service installation to troubleshooting. The team focuses on maintaining Spectrum’s advanced fiber-optic network, plant construction and delivering quality service to homes and businesses.

Woodward, Inc. selects Spartanburg County to establish a new manufacturing site in South Carolina  

Nearly $200 million investment will create approximately 275 new jobs

 Woodward, Inc. (Woodward), a global leader in energy control solutions for aerospace and industrial markets, announced it selects Spartanburg County to establish a new manufacturing operation in South Carolina. The nearly $200 million investment will create approximately 275 new jobs.

Founded in 1870, Woodward is a global company specializing in the design, manufacture, and service of energy conversion and control solutions for aerospace and industrial applications. The company’s products are used to increase efficiency and reliability in a range of challenging environments, including aviation, power generation, marine and on-highway transportation, and oil and gas operations.

Woodward plans to build a 300,000-square-foot precision manufacturing facility located within Smith Farms Industrial Park in Greer. The new factory will focus on the production of servo-hydraulic actuation systems used in aircraft flight control.

Carolina Renewable Products establishing operations in Orangeburg County

 Carolina Renewable Products (CRP), a clean energy company,  announced it is establishing operations in Orangeburg County. The company’s $280 million investment will create 155 new jobs.

CRP converts sustainable wood biomass into renewable diesel, biochar and wood vinegar. The company offers a modular and cost-effective design, delivering low-carbon fuel solutions while supporting local agriculture and forestry.

CRP recently purchased its inaugural site, located at 546 Prosperity Drive in Orangeburg, which will be a next-generation biomass-to-renewable diesel facility and serve as the company’s headquarters and training hub.
