Joint Warrants Sweep Nets 15 Arrests; Meth Labs and other
Drugs Seized, Clinton DPS & Sheriff's Office announces
The Clinton Department of Public Safety and the Laurens County Sheriff’s Office conducted a joint warrants sweep for drug offenders which began late Tuesday evening (Oct. 20) that continued through Wednesday.
During the course of the round up, two meth labs as well as a quantity of crystal methamphetamine and nearly two pounds of marijuana were also seized.
Director Robin Morse of the Clinton Department of Public Safety stated these arrests are a result of an ongoing investigation into illegal drug activity in the City of Clinton and Laurens County. “We will continue our joint efforts and utilize every resource at our disposal to locate and bring every illegal drug dealer to justice,” Morse said.
Sheriff Chastain said more arrests are possible and contributed the success of this operation as a direct result of the great working relationship between the agencies.
Arrested and charged during the joint operation are:
63 year old Sherman Landers of 453 Bar B Villa Road, Clinton charged with Distribution of a Controlled Substance, and two counts of Possession with intent to Distribute a Controlled Substance
36 year old Sherry Nicole Landers of 453 Bar B Villa Road, Clinton charged with Trafficking Methamphetamine, Possession with intent to Distribute Marijuana, two counts of Possession to Distribute a Controlled Substance charged with two counts of Distribution of Methamphetamine, Trafficking Methamphetamine, Possession with intent to Distribute Marijuana, and two counts of Possession with intent to Distribute a Controlled Substance
47 year old Bobby Timothy Byers of 453 Bar B Villa Road, Clinton charged with Manufacturing Methamphetamine, Trafficking Methamphetamine, Possession with intent to Distribute Marijuana, and two counts of Possession with intent to Distribute a Controlled Substance
33 year old Cornelius Davis of 466 Duncan Creek CH RD, Laurens; charged with Distribution of Methamphetamine, Manufacturing Methamphetamine, Unlawful Disposal of Methamphetamine Waste, Possession with intent to Distribute Methamphetamine, and Simple Possession of Marijuana
26 year old Sherman Rhodes of 330 Blakeleyville Road, Clinton; charged with Distribution of Marijuana and Possession with intent to Distribute Marijuana
33 year old Waldrick Lamar Burnside of 450 Cheeks Circle, Gray Court charged with Distribution of Methamphetamine
