Clinton Looks Forward to the Largest Ever “Rhythm on the Rails” Event

Posted

The City of Clinton is preparing to welcome residents and visitors to an estimated record-breaking Rhythm on the Rails event on Saturday, April 25. The full-day event features over 30 local vendors, a wide variety of activities for all ages, and a complete entertainment lineup.

“Rhythm on the Rails provides us with the opportunity to remember our City’s history as a key railway stop, celebrate our shared love of this community, and support the future growth of Clinton. We were overwhelmed, in the best way, by the vendor response. It’s going to be an incredible day, and we hope to see as many folks as possible at the Depot,” said City Manager Joey Meadors.

Unprecedented Vendor Participation

This year’s event will highlight beverages, crafts, food, and merchandise from over 30 vendors. Dining options include barbecue, soul food, seafood, carnival-style sweets, and assorted desserts. Attendees can also purchase apparel, gifts, custom candles, handcrafted jewelry, home décor, wooden crafts, and even experience a few “hat bars” to design their own creations. The format of the event enables festival goers to talk firsthand with the makers behindthese items – and to support local Clinton commerce.

Live Entertainment

The planned entertainment for Rhythm on the Rails includes demonstrations from area students as well as several concert-style musical performances. The current schedule is:

• 10:30am – Clinton Elementary School Pan Jammers

• 11:00am – Dance South

• 11:30am – Clinton Middle School Band

• 1:00pm – Dixie Barnes & Ben Bagwell

• 3:00pm – Exit 83 Band

• 5:00pm – LEVELZ

In addition to visiting vendors and enjoying the free entertainment, event attendees can enjoy amusement rides, face painting, and games from Big Air Trampoline Park.
