Clinton, SC — Music, dancing, and good times filled the air Thursday night as Main Street Clinton presented its popular Rhythm on the Rails: Third Thursday Concert Series at The Depot in Downtown Clinton.
The July 17th event, held from 7 to 9 p.m., brought out residents and visitors of all ages to enjoy a warm summer evening of live music and community fellowship. Headlining the night was none other than Jack Roper and the Weatherman Band, a group well-known across the Upstate for their upbeat performances and crowd-pleasing favorites.
With a setlist full of classics that had people clapping, singing, and even dancing along, the band delivered memorable renditions of “I Love Beach Music,” “Love Train,” and “My Girl.” Their energy and stage presence kept the crowd entertained from the first note to the final chord.
“This is what small-town summer is all about — great music, great people, and a great community atmosphere,” said one concertgoer.
With this being Main Street’s third downtown concert event this year, organizers also took the opportunity to try something new. For this concert, Musgrove Street remained open to local traffic, a change aimed at improving accessibility for visitors and businesses.
Jim Spry, Director of Main Street Clinton, said the team is always looking for ways to enhance the experience. “We’re trying new things with the layout, and we are happy with how this event looks and feels,” Spry said.
Main Street Clinton’s Rhythm on the Rails series continues to be a staple for the community, offering a chance for residents to gather, enjoy local businesses, and celebrate the unique charm of Downtown Clinton.
