Laurens — To encourage more families to take advantage of the healthy choices available with school breakfast, Laurens County School District 55 schools will celebrate National School Breakfast Week (NSBW) from March 2–6, 2026.
Busy weekday mornings make it a challenge for many families to find time for a healthy breakfast. Fortunately, Laurens County School District 55 schools offer nutritious school breakfasts—complete with fruit and low-fat or fat-free milk—to ensure students are fueled for learning every school day. To support this mission, Laurens County School District 55 offers breakfast at no cost to all students.

To make this "quest" even more exciting, the Student Nutrition Services Department will be conducting interactive games, giving out prizes, and offering other fun giveaways throughout the week to encourage every student to join in and eat their breakfast.
"Embarking on 'The Quest for School Breakfast' allows our students to discover the fuel they need to succeed in the classroom and beyond," said Wanda Knight, Director of Student Nutrition Services. "We are excited to guide our students toward healthy habits by showcasing the delicious and energizing options available to them every single morning".
Laurens County School District 55 offers breakfast in the classroom at all elementary schools. Middle and high schools offer at least four entrée choices each morning. We hope all students will join us for a delicious, nutritious breakfast at their school cafeteria.
