The Class of 2020

Posted

On Thursday, June 4, 2020, Clinton High School sends its Class of 2020 into the world in an unusual outdoor Commencement in Wilder Stadium. The change from the traditional indoor event is made in the fight against the Coronavirus. Patrick Nelson, Valedictorian, and Sean Bell, Salutatorian, give the Commencement speeches, and CHS Principal Dr. Martha Brothers, whose first year at the high school helm was cut short by a government-mandated shutdown, invites the graduates to come back any time to see "Rona," their gift to her as the seniors "decorated" Clinton Hogh School. She also points to the banners hung by the Class of 2020, used during the Commencement as decorations. Dr. Nora Ann Pace, the school's athletic trainer, is "hooded" during the ceremony, as well; her Doctoral Commencement was cancelled.
