Stewart Jones to Visit Southern Border in Texas on April 26

Laurens - Stewart Jones, candidate for Congress representing South Carolina’s 3rd Congressional District, will travel to the Southern border in Texas this Friday, April 26, to witness firsthand the impact of the Biden administration's open border policies.

Jones' commitment to border security stems from personal tragedy and a dedication to protecting American communities. In October, Jones' goddaughter tragically lost her life at the hands of an illegal alien who had been deported during the Trump administration but re-entered the country under President Biden's watch.

"Everyone in America is affected by our wide open border. It is impacting communities right here in the 3rd Congressional District," remarked Stewart Jones. "I cannot and will not stand idly by while Biden and the Democrats refuse to close our southern border and are destroying our country."

During his visit, Jones will meet with local law enforcement officials, ranchers, and residents in the Brownsville area to discuss the challenges they face due to the influx of illegal immigration. The purpose of this trip is to gain a deeper understanding of the issues on the ground and to demonstrate Jones' commitment to taking immediate action.

"The open border policies of the Biden administration have perpetuated and allowed the invasion we are seeing today," stated Jones. "We must build the wall, strengthen immigration laws, and deport illegal aliens."

Jones is not waiting until he is elected to Congress to address these critical issues. He is already taking proactive steps to engage with impacted communities and develop solutions.
