Blue Hose back to the line of scrimmage

The Presbyterian College football team will be offering a glimpse of what's to come later this year as the annual Blue/White Spring Game is on the horizon. Head coach Steve Englehart and the rest of the PC staff will administer the annual intersquad scrimmage at 7:00 PM this Friday, April 12.

Fans are encouraged to attend at Bailey Memorial Stadium, where concessions will be available. Gates will open approximately one hour before the festivities begin as the Blue Hose simulate a 48-minute contest incorporating all members of the roster.

Heading into his third season as the program's man-in-charge, Englehart will lead a series of 12-minute quarters on Friday, switching between full drives and situational snaps (such as red zone and special teams plays).

Presbyterian posted a three-game win improvement from Englehart's debut year in 2022, highlighted by a monumental victory against Wofford last September (23-20) which denoted the first time in history that any Pioneer Football League member defeated a representative of the Southern Conference.

Following that road win, PC picked up an overtime triumph at Dayton in October as well as a season-ending 31-27 W against Morehead State in Clinton.

On the heels of that upward surge, three Blue Hose players were named All-PFL First Team (wide receiver Dominic Kibby, tight end Worth Warner, and linebacker Alex Herriott). Additionally, rookie kicker Mack Mikko became the second player in as many years under Englehart to be named a Phil Steele FCS Freshman All-American.

Each of those student-athletes will be returning to PC's roster next fall, including seven other competitors who were included on the all-conference Honorable Mention list.
