Clinton City Council has announced a called meeting this Tuesday evening to receive its Fiscal Year 2024-25 audit. The meeting is open to the public and viewable on the City's Facebook page.

Gary Bailey, with Love Bailey Associates in Laurens, will make the audit presentation at the 6 p.m. meeting in the PS Bailey City Council Chambers of the MS Bailey Municipal Center, 211 N. Broad St, Clinton. City Council members have expressed the opinion that they need to see the audit before they can start work on the City's next budget.

Also on the agenda are:

2nd (final) reading of an ordinance to issue bonds of no more than $500,000 to "prescribe the purposes for which the proceeds shall be expended..." The City has plans to renovate the Fire Substation on Springdale Drive so firefighters can spend the night there during their shifts - extensive renovations to the Main Fire & Police Station (former city hall on North Broad Street) are on-going paid for by a seperate bond.

ALSO, the City Planning Commisson has announced a March 11 public hearing, also in the council chambers, for an annexation and zoning designation for 283.12 acres at 3 separate tax map numbers - it is land on Hwy 56 between Ingles and Westminster Presbyterian Church.
