CLINTON - The Laurens County Community Theatre has kicked off its 2025-26 season with a big green splash. The company is bringing the beloved Broadway hit Shrek the Musical to life, featuring a cast of 35 local actors who sing, dance, and delight their way into audiences’ hearts.
The production opened this past weekend to enthusiastic crowds and will continue with three more performances at Clinton High School: Thursday, October 2, at 7:30 p.m.; Friday, October 3, at 7:30 p.m.; and a Sunday matinee on October 4 at 3:00 p.m.
Based on the Oscar-winning animated film, Shrek the Musical tells the story of an unlikely hero, a wise-cracking donkey, and a princess with a secret, all set against the backdrop of a fairytale world that doesn’t quite fit the mold. With its mix of humor, heart, and memorable songs, the show is designed to entertain audiences of all ages.
All performances will be held at Clinton High School, 18132 Highway 72 East, Clinton, SC. Tickets can be purchased online at LCCT.net, with both general admission and reserved seating available.
