SHERIFF DON REYNOLDS

LAURENS - Laurens County Sheriff Don Reynolds has endorsed Rick Shealy, the Republican nominee for South Carolina House District 14, in the Nov. 3 general election.

Reynolds has served as sheriff of Laurens County since 2017 and leads the Laurens County Sheriff's Office, which provides law enforcement across the county, operates the county detention center and provides security for the county courts.

"Our deputies put their lives on the line every day to protect the people of Laurens County, and they need leaders in Columbia who will stand behind them," Reynolds said. "Rick Shealy has made support for law enforcement a cornerstone of his campaign, and I know he will be a strong voice for public safety in the State House. I am proud to give him my support."

Shealy, an eighth-generation South Carolinian, farmer and business owner, won the Republican primary for House District 14 in June. His campaign has centered on supporting law enforcement, protecting private property rights and giving the people of District 14 an independent voice in Columbia.

"Sheriff Reynolds and the men and women of the Laurens County Sheriff's Office work hard every day to keep our families and neighborhoods safe," Shealy said. "I am honored to have his endorsement, and I will make sure our law enforcement officers have the support and resources they need to do their jobs."

Reynolds joins a growing list of Shealy supporters that includes state Sen. Danny Verdin; former District 14 Rep. Stewart Jones; David Stumbo, solicitor for South Carolina's 8th Judicial Circuit and Republican nominee for attorney general; and the Greenwood Association of Realtors.

SOLICITOR DAVID STUMBO

LAURENS - David Stumbo, the Republican nominee for South Carolina attorney general, has endorsed Rick Shealy for the South Carolina House of Representatives, District 14.

Stumbo serves as solicitor for the 8th Judicial Circuit, which includes Abbeville, Greenwood, Laurens and Newberry counties. He has spent more than a decade prosecuting criminal cases and won the Republican nomination for attorney general in the June 23 primary runoff. He faces the Democratic nominee for attorney general in the Nov. 3 general election.

"I have spent my career working alongside the law enforcement officers, victims and families of Laurens County, and I know what this community needs from its representatives in Columbia," Stumbo said. "Rick Shealy is a man of integrity who understands that public safety, strong families and the rule of law go hand in hand. He will be a partner in the State House for the people who keep our communities safe, and I am proud to support him."

"David Stumbo has earned the trust of the people of the 8th Circuit by putting criminals behind bars and standing up for victims," Shealy said. "I am honored to have his support. As attorney general, he will fight for South Carolina families, and I look forward to working alongside him to keep our communities safe and our government accountable to the people it serves.”

REP. MARK WILLIS

State Rep. Mark Willis, R-Fountain Inn, has endorsed Rick Shealy in his campaign for South Carolina House District 14.

Shealy, the Republican nominee, is on the ballot in the general election Tuesday, Nov. 3.

Willis, who represents neighboring House District 16, said Shealy has the background and character to serve Laurens County well in Columbia.

"Rick is a man of his word who built a successful business before moving to Cross Hill to farm," Willis said. "He knows what it takes to meet a payroll and what it takes to work the land, and he understands the issues that matter to families, farmers and small business owners. I am glad to support him."

An eighth-generation South Carolinian, Shealy has called Laurens County home for more than 15 years. He runs the family farm in Cross Hill with his son, Steven, a Marine Corps veteran.

"I am grateful for Mark's endorsement," Shealy said. "Every endorsement tells me more people are ready for a strong conservative voice for District 14. I will go to Columbia to fight for lower taxes, safer roads and the rights of property owners, and I will always put the people of this district first."

LAURENS COUNTY COUNCIL OFFICERS

LAURENS - Laurens County Council Chairman Jeff Carroll and Councilman Matthew Brownlee, who serves as council vice chairman, have endorsed Rick Shealy in his campaign for South Carolina House District 14.

Shealy, the Republican nominee, is on the ballot in the general election Tuesday, Nov. 3.

Carroll said Shealy understands the issues facing Laurens County families and businesses because he has lived and worked alongside them for years.

"Rick is someone who listens first and acts with conviction," Carroll said. "County government works best when we have partners in Columbia who know our community and will fight for it. Rick will be that partner, and I am proud to support him.”

Brownlee said Shealy's experience and character make him the right choice for District 14.

"Rick brings real world experience, common sense and a genuine love for this county," Brownlee said. "He will stand up for our conservative values, and he will make sure the voices of Laurens County residents are heard in the Statehouse."

Shealy said he is grateful for the support of both county leaders.

"Jeff and Matthew have worked hard to move Laurens County forward, and their endorsement means a great deal to me," Shealy said. "Strong communication between county council and our legislative delegation is essential. I look forward to working with them to deliver results for the people of District 14."
