Ride for a good cause; remembering Roger Rice

Sunday, September 20, 2015 is the 4TH Annual Deputy Roger Rice Memorial Ride with Live Music By: Steele Justice BAND There will be food, games and raffles. Only $15.00 Per bike. Check-In starts at noon with bikes out At 2 PM. Meeting At DESTINATION POWER SPORTS located at 23165 HWY 76E CLINTON, S.C. 29325. All Proceeds go to the Deputy Roger Rice Ride On Fund which is used to assist law enforcement officers and their families in times of need.

ALSO, LCSO has made the following announcement:
 
Join law enforcement officers from agencies around Laurens County on October 2, from 8 - 10 am at the Laurens County Chick-fil-A for a free cup of coffee provided by owner/operator Marshall Davis. Chick-fil-A is located at 917 E Main St in Laurens. 
 
The public is encouraged to come out and meet the law enforcement officers and leaders in their community to discuss issues and have a friendly cup of coffee over conversation. 
 
Scheduled to be on hand for the event is Sheriff Ricky Chastain and members of the Laurens County Sheriff's Office, Laurens Police Chief Sonny Ledda and Staff, Clinton Department of Public Safety Director Robin Morse and Staff, South Carolina Highway Patrol Troop Two Commander Captain D.W. Yongue and staff and officers with the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources. All law enforcement officers are invited to attend and their participation is much appreciated. 
 
"Building relationships. One cup at a time." This event is sponsored by the Laurens County Sheriff's Office Chaplaincy and Chick-fil-A of Laurens County.
