Message: "A child is watching us."

Posted

Columbia - Kindred Hearts South Carolina is proud to host the It’s All Relative Social and Emotional Intelligence Summit, in recognition of Child Abuse Prevention Month, bringing together adults from across South Carolina who play a role in the lives of children and families.

This important community event, hosted by Midlands Technical College, is supported through the Children’s Trust Community Leadership Grant for Child Abuse Prevention Month. With sponsorship of continuing education units from the University of South Carolina School of Social Work, the summit will also offer training credits for foster, adoptive, and kinship caregivers through the South Carolina Department of Social Services (DSS).

The summit is centered around a simple but powerful message: a child is always watching us. The event will focus on social and emotional awareness, adult responsibility, and how communities can work together to create safer, healthier environments where children and families can thrive.

Organizers are extending an open invitation to all adults across South Carolina including parents, caregivers, educators, human service professionals, clergy, community leaders, elected officials, and anyone who influences the lives of children. The event will include speakers, panel discussions, community resources, and opportunities for collaboration.

Vendors and exhibitors who provide services or resources for children and families are also invited to participate and share information about their organizations.

Registration for attendees and vendors is available online at:
