The Clinton Red Devil players will have a time of rest and healing, and the coaches will have the chance to do a little scouting, tonight (Nov. 1).
This is a previously scheduled bye week.
But more high school football is on the horizon Nov. 8 - at Liberty - and then the playoffs, and Red Devil fans know that the Oct. 25 Homecoming, rescheduled because of Hurricane Helene, was a night to remember.
In case you missed it, Clinton won 61-14 over Blacksburg to edge closer toward the championship of Region 1, AA. Ry’Daijia Mars was crowned the Homecoming Queen. The Devil Regiment marching band - which placed 9th in the State in their division - presented its performance show after the game on Richardson Field in Wilder Stadium, and the football team took to the stands to watch.

That’s right, 7 different players scored touchdowns for Clinton against the out-matched Blacksburg defense. The visitors threw for 229 yards against the Clinton secondary, but threw 3 interceptions and went just 3 for 14 on 3rd down.
Next week's opponent, Liberty, was a 42-24 winner over Landrum in their Oct. 25 game.
