Laurens Welcomes Eggs Up Grill

A Place Where the Community Gathers

Posted

Eggs Up Grill has officially opened its doors in Laurens, and franchisee Daniel Fort couldn’t be more excited to welcome the community in for breakfast, brunch, and connection.

This is the second Eggs Up Grill for Fort, who is passionate about creating a family-friendly, community-focused space where neighbors can gather and share life together.

“We wanted to bring more to a community that didn’t have many breakfast options,” Fort said. “We’re here because this is where the community gathers. I want this to be a place where we can all come together—have conversations with friends, maybe even enemies or frenemies. The best way to gather is over food.”

Fort said the Laurens location has already been warmly received, with many locals expressing their gratitude and excitement.

“The community keeps telling me how grateful and happy they are that Eggs Up is now in Laurens. We really needed a place like this,” he shared with a smile.

Laurens Mayor Nathan Senn echoed that sentiment during the restaurant’s ribbon cutting, saying he had been looking forward to the opening for some time.

“This is one of those situations where a restaurant is more than a restaurant,” Senn said. “It’s a place for people to gather and build community. Thank you, Daniel, for believing in and trusting in Laurens.”

Fort takes pride in offering a casual, welcoming atmosphere with full-service dining and affordable, everyday prices. He’s also excited to be part of what he calls the “growing side of town,” helping to fill a need for more local dining options.

The Laurens Eggs Up Grill also offers catering for community events, offices, and special occasions. Fort says he looks forward to getting more involved through sponsoring local schools, supporting sports teams, and participating in community events.

“The community has been so positive and supportive,” he said. “We’re still getting a lot of first-timers, but the response has been amazing.”

Looking ahead, Fort plans to introduce $10 lunch combos and other specials as the restaurant continues to grow. He’s also hoping to build up Sunday traffic, inviting more locals to make Eggs Up Grill part of their weekend tradition.

For Fort, it’s about much more than just food—it’s about connection.

“We’re here to support the community,” he said. “And we’re proud to be a place where people can gather, share a meal, and feel at home.”
