The event marked the realization of owner Tony Tate's vision to provide a one-stop solution for the county’s packaging and shipping needs—aiming to save residents from traveling to neighboring counties for these services.
Tony Tate, alongside his wife, Michanna Tate, expressed their excitement about bringing this much-needed service to Laurens County. “Our goal with KOT Pack and Ship is to fill a need for the community,” Tony stated. “We want to make life easier by offering a wide range of services under one roof, saving them time and hassle.”
The business offers an array of services designed to cater to both individual and business needs, including copying, shipping, printing, faxing, notarization, scanning, and virtual mailboxes, among others. The name “KOT Pack and Ship” holds special significance, as it is dedicated to Tony’s sister, Kierre Ontae Tate. “KOT is more than just a name; it’s a remembrance of my best friend, my sister,” Tony shared, his voice filled with emotion. Kierre Ontae Tate passed away in 2020, and Tony wanted to honor her memory in a meaningful way that would also benefit the community.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony was attended by local officials, business leaders, and community members, all eager to show their support for the new venture.
