Jail & Bail

If you're incarcerated ...

... don't worry, it's for a good cause - and, we have attorneys to meet with our clients

Friday morning dawned as a day of reckoning for some unfortunate inmates in downtown Laurens. They had to pay at least $100 bond to be released on their own recognizance from the Laurens County Sheriff's Office's Jail & Bail.

But, fear not, it's all for a worthwhile cause -- the annyal Christmas for Kids Program. From 8:30 am to 3:30 pm the Plaza on the Laurens Square was transformed with make-shift cells for these hardened inmates. They worked their own phones to raise their bail, all under the watchful eye of Sheriff's officers and volunteers.

People were encouraged to "turn in" their willing family members, friends, co-workers - or even themselves!! - to make Christmas a brighter time for those in need.

This is event-day (May 16), you can call 864-871-8497 to make a donation to the Jail & Bail Fundraiser - or, when someone you know calls you and asks for "bail money," be kind.

The Kids of Laurens County thank you.

The day is finally here! It's time for our annual Jail and Bail fundraiser. We have some great local leaders signed up to participate, giving their time to have a little fun and raise money for the Christmas for Kids program. This event is our biggest and most successful fundraiser every year and we couldn't do it without our volunteers and generous donors.
Here are a few photos from past years. We hope you'll stop by the Square today between 8:30 and 3:30 to visit our "inmates" and put some money on their books for a good cause!
Our Christmas for Kids program helps hundreds of Laurens County children in need every year. Without all of you, it wouldn't be possible!
There is still time to sign up to participate all day long! Call Deputy Snow at 864-871-8497 to join us or to sign someone up.
