Sunday morning’s 9-11 Walk To Remember, sponsored by Jay and Janice Long and the CrossFit 864 Team, commemorated the 21st anniversary of the Terror Attacks on America in which nearly 3,000 people died. This was the 2nd Annual Never Forget Hero Walk.

Clinton Police Chief Sonny Ledda showed, in the vein of never forgetting, an American Flag page from the Clinton Chronicle that he kept in the back ledge of his patrol car.

Mayor Bob McLean said, “The country is becoming a little soft. We need to be reminded  there are people who want to undo our way of life. Chief Ledda called firefighters and police officers to the front with him for a prayer, saying, “We thank you for the ability to celebrate and remember,” and “We thank you for the community that supports us.”

Later, State Representative Stewart Jones presented flags to the Clinton Fire Department and Clinton Police Department as part of the commemoration.
