We have you in photos at the players' walk-in

The 9-2 Presbyterian College Blue Hose Football Team has done its walk-in - and has met YOU, Blue Hose Nation, at the stadium today.

This morning at 10:30 players, coaches and cheerleaders walked to the wail of a bagpipes from Templeton Center to the Yonce Field House in anticipation of today's (Nov. 22) Bailey Memorial Stadium clash against Marist, a Pioneer Football League opponent.

A Blue Hose win would be only the 3rd time in the storied 113-year history of this football program that they've had a 10-win season. Kickoff is at 1 p.m.

At about 12:37, PC Football will honor 31 Seniors, many of whom have been with the program for their full 4 years. Those 4-year players, in their first season, finished with a 1-10 mark.

Coach Steve Englehart and his staff have made that turn-around - from 10 losses to the potential of 10 wins in less than half a decade on the job. The Clinton Chronicle wholeheartedly believes Steve Englehart is the National Coach of the Year. He was on Saturday Morning Rewind at Whiteford's in Clinton - the WPCC radio and largetimenetwork (worldwide web) program that highlights Clinton High School Red Devil Athletics - a half hour before the walk-in, and gave a team update at Thursday's final meeting of the Laurens County Touchdown Club Thursday afternoon at The Ridge recreation center in Laurens - theTD Club will have its season-ending awards dinner in January, 2026.

Of his Seniors, Englehart said, "We want to recognize what they have done for this program."

There is still an outside chance that PC Football could qualify for the NCAA Division I FCS post-season championship series. If they rise to the occasion against a coming-in-hot Marist team, how could you deny a 10-2 team the chance to compete for a National Championship?

And, why would you want to?
