The Laurens County Coroner’s Office has posted: “Per Patti Canupp, On September 22, 2026, Chief Deputy Coroner Ashley Rushton was notified of a death that occurred at Prisma Health Greenville Memorial Hospital.
“On August 29, 2026, shortly after 12:00pm, a vehicle went off the roadway and overturned on Barrel Stave Rd and Philson Rd in Clinton, SC.
“The driver of the vehicle has been identified as 18-year-old female, Catherine Zeas of Edgemoor, SC.
“The incident is currently under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol and the Laurens County Coroner’s Office. No further details are available at this time.”
And. another statement:
“Per Patti Canupp, On September 24, 2026, Deputy Coroner Remy Hunnicutt was notified of a death that occurred at Prisma Health Greenville Memorial Hospital.
“On September 24, 2026, shortly after 8:00 am, a motor vehicle collision occurred with an ejection on Hwy 72 and Renno Rd in Clinton, SC. Accident details are unavailable at this time.
“The driver of the vehicle was taken to Prisma Health Greenville Memorial Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The driver has been identified as 46-year-old male, Steven Hyler of Whitmire, SC.
“The incident is currently under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol and the Laurens County Coroner’s Office. No further details are available at this time.”
