Fastfood

What's your favorite?

Do you believe that Starbucks is the most popular fastfood in South Carolina? Me neither.

But, don’t take my word for it. The folks at Betsperts have done the research.

Sandwiched between North Carolina and Georgia ranking Chick-fil-A as their favorites comes South Carolina ranking Starbucks as its favorite fastfood. Personally, I think the answers depend on the demographics of the people answering the question, but this research shows, nationwide, Chick-fil-A is most popular in 4 states, all in the South.

Starbucks is favorite in 24 states. McDonalds is favorite in 22 states.

Speaking of Ronald, Australia has the 2nd most McDonalds in the world - 37.5 restaurants per 1 million people.

The United States is just ahead of the Aussies in this category.

Vermont has the fewest fastfood restaurants in the nation with 1.9 per 10,000 people.

Alabama is the fastfood-eatingest people in the country with 6.3 per 10,000 people.

I guess that doesn’t take into account the sit down restaurants that aren’t “fast” although pretty much everybody now has a drive and go option, and more are having a delivery option.

For me, I don’t eat much Starbucks. The one breakfast sandwich I had, the bread was a little hard for my taste. But the Dark Roast was EXCELLENT.

Something about “staying in your lane,” I guess.

Laurens County is getting more acquainted with Starbucks, with one at the college and another at the gateway in Clinton, and one in Ingles in Laurens and another coming pretty much across Hwy 76.

Chick-fil-A is the one we go to - or through, I should say - most often, I guess. McDonalds - sometimes, especially for fries - though I was concerned when a friend posted recently a photo of what was supposed to be nuggets - the box contained a smattering of “secret sauce.” Their kid didn’t eat it.
