Lake Rabon plays host to the fishing rodeo under gray skies

Posted

Families participated in Saturday morning’s free Fishing Rodeo at lake Rabon, sponsored by the SC Department of Natural Resources, LCWSC, the Hampton Wildlife Fund, Sport Fish Restoration, Academy Sports & Outdoors, and the Laurens County Conservation District.

Ages 6-15 were welcome, with limited spaces available. The 3-hours event allowed for catch and keep, but there was an event-specific creel limit in place.

This was just one of many local events scheduled for this past weekend - the 3rd weekend in May - as spring activities got into full swing in Laurens County. Photos and information on many of these events is in the May 21 issue of The Clinton Chronicle.
