CLINTON, SC - December 6, 2024 - The downtown area of Clinton was aglow with holiday spirit on Thursday, December 5, as a large and enthusiastic crowd gathered for the annual Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony. The air was filled with excitement and anticipation as families, friends, and neighbors came together to kick off the holiday season.
 
Held from 6-8 pm, the event was just one of the many exciting highlights of Clinton's Cowboy Christmas, a festive celebration that runs throughout the month of December.  Clinton's Cowboy Christmas will offer a wide range of holiday activities, events, and traditions that are sure to delight visitors of all ages.
 
The evening's festivities began with a countdown by the crowd, leading up to the lighting of the majestic downtown Christmas tree. As the "switch" was flipped, the tree's surface was adorned with twinkling lights and ornaments, illuminating the night sky. Complimentary hot cocoa, generously provided by The Vestibule, helped to keep the chill off as attendees mingled and enjoyed the holiday atmosphere.
 
Many took advantage of the horse-drawn carriage rides, which offered a leisurely and scenic tour of the historic downtown area. The sound of jingling bells and the soft glow of twinkling lights added to the enchantment of the evening, creating a magical atmosphere that captivated attendees and left a lasting impression of holiday wonder on young and old alike.
