Anderson - Congresswoman Sheri Biggs (R-Oconee) has formally announces her intention to run for second term in the U.S. House of Representatives. Enthusiastically endorsed by President Donald Trump, Biggs says she will file to continue in her record of leading on critical legislation, standing up for veterans, and championing the fight for conservative values.
“I promised to go to Washington with a clear focus of Healing Our Nation: fiscally, mentally, and spiritually - and that’s just what I’ve done,” Biggs said. “In just a short time, with President Trump’s leadership, we’ve accomplished historic results: securing the border, reducing crime while increasing illegal immigrant deportations, and cutting government red tape that stifled job creation. We have unleashed America-First energy dominance, lowered health care costs and increased competition, put more money in taxpayers’ pockets including eliminating tax on tips and tax on overtime, and restored common sense once again by eliminating the woke nonsense that plagued our federal agencies.”
“I am grateful to serve the great people of South Carolina’s Third District, and I humbly ask my neighbors for their continued support and vote this year, so we can continue on a path of conservative prosperity in the years ahead.”
In his endorsement of Congresswoman Biggs via Truth Social, President Trump said the following:
“Congresswoman Sheri Biggs is a terrific Representative for the incredible people of South Carolina’s 3rd Congressional District! A distinguished Nurse and Lieutenant Colonel in the Air National Guard, Sheri knows the Wisdom and Courage that is necessary to Defend our Country, Support our Brave Military/Veterans, and Ensure PEACE THROUGH STRENGTH. In Congress, Sheri is working hard to Grow our Economy, Cut Taxes and Regulations, Promote MADE IN THE U.S.A., Champion American Energy DOMINANCE, Keep our Border SECURE, and Protect our always under siege Second Amendment. Sheri Biggs has my Complete and Total Endorsement for Re-Election – SHE WILL NEVER LET YOU DOWN!”
In her first term in Congress, Congresswoman Sheri Biggs quickly established herself as a strong conservative voice for South Carolina’s Third District and a tireless advocate for the values of the Upstate. Biggs has consistently supported legislation advancing border security, fiscal responsibility, and the America First agenda, including voting to pass major legislation focused on strengthening the nation’s borders, protecting families, and restoring accountability in Washington. She is a co-sponsor of the SAVE America Act, which has passed the House of Representatives, to protect election integrity and ensure that only American citizens should decide and vote in American elections.
Biggs authored and passed the Made-in-America Defense Act to unleash U.S. manufacturing and protection of allies and American national security. She has also taken a leadership role in defending Second Amendment rights, organizing a coalition of House members to press federal regulators to modernize outdated firearm transportation rules and introducing legislation to protect the privacy of law-abiding gun owners. Drawing on her background as a Lieutenant Colonel in the Air National as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner, Biggs has also championed initiatives to expand access to faith-based mental health care resources for America’s veterans.
Beyond her legislative efforts, Biggs has secured influential committee assignments on the House Homeland Security; Foreign Affairs; and Science, Space, and Technology Committees, placing her at the center of debates on border security, national defense, energy independence, and America’s role on the world stage. She has used that platform to advocate for policies that strengthen national security, confront threats from adversaries like China, and promote American innovation and energy production.
At home, Biggs has remained deeply engaged with the people of the Third District, having hosted her first signature event, the “Salute to Liberty,” a record-setting night as the largest gathering for a signature event for a first-year elected official in South Carolina with over 1,200 attendees. The event prominently featured conservative leaders including Governors Henry McMaster and Sarah Huckabee Sanders. As the first woman ever elected to represent South Carolina’s Third Congressional District, Congresswoman Biggs continues to build a record of principled leadership and conservative results for the communities she serves.

Biggs Introduces No Mercy for Terrorists Act:
Never Again Should Terrorist Enablers Escape Full Force of American Law
Washington, D.C. – Congresswoman Sheri Biggs (R-SC-03), a member of the House Homeland Security Committee and Lieutenant Colonel in the Air National Guard, has announced she is introducing the No Mercy for Terrorists Act, legislation to ensure that individuals who provide material support to terrorist organizations face severe and lasting consequences under federal law. The legislation comes as federal authorities investigate the recent shooting at Old Dominion University as a potential act of terrorism, highlighting growing concerns about the threat posed by individuals linked to extremist groups.
“Anyone who supports terrorist organizations will face the full force of American justice,” said Congresswoman Biggs. “The No Mercy for Terrorists Act makes it clear: if you help terrorists, you will face decades behind bars, and if you abuse the privilege of American citizenship to aid our enemies, you will lose it and never step foot in our nation again. America will not be a safe haven for terrorists or those who support them.”
This proposal builds on Congresswoman Biggs’ broader efforts to close national security loopholes in federal law, including her No Passports for Terrorists and Traffickers Act, which would revoke or deny U.S. passports to individuals charged with or convicted of terrorism-related crimes.
The No Mercy for Terrorists Act, among other things, would strengthen federal penalties for individuals convicted of providing material support to terrorist organizations, including establishing a significant mandatory minimum sentence and allow courts to impose severe penalties up to and including life imprisonment.
Additionally, Congresswoman Biggs will take steps to address the ability to revoke the naturalized citizenship of individuals convicted of terrorism offenses, ensuring those who betray the United States by supporting terrorist groups cannot retain the privileges of American citizenship.
