SLED CHARGES LAURENS COUNTY WOMAN WITH FRAUD

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) charged Dynasty Rochelle Cunningham, 24, of Clinton, with Obtaining Property Under False Pretenses – Value $10,000 or More and Computer Crime – Value Exceeding $10,000 – First Degree on Tuesday, November 25, 2025. The South Carolina Department of Employment and Workforce requested the SLED investigation.

Cunningham was booked into the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center in Richland County.

The case will be prosecuted by the 5th Circuit Solicitor’s Office.

Warrants allege that on or about June, 2020, the suspect obtained money by false pretense in connection with Disaster Unemployment Assistance benefits through the SC Department of Employment & Workforce in Columbia. She is alleged to have received $26,851.10 after she falsely stated that the business where she worked, My Global Destinations, was located in West Columbia and was closed by the Covid-19 pandemic. A warrant says the address given for the company was not correct and the phone number belonged to (redacted).

The charge is based on information from DEW, a law enforcement report, and financial records. A second warrant says a claim for assistance was fraudulently filed on-line with DEW.

All defendants are presumed innocent unless and until they are proven guilty in a court of law.
