Fourteen months have passed since Kaden Moses, a bright and promising 14-year-old, life was tragically cut short. Kaden was shot to death in his bedroom. The senseless act of violence sent shockwaves through the community, leaving Kaden's family and friends devastated.
Despite the passage of time, justice has yet to be served. No arrests have been made, and the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) has declared the investigation closed, pending new evidence.
However, Kaden's loved ones refuse to give up hope. They are determined to keep his memory alive and to fight for the justice he deserves. The fundraising event, organized by long-time Moses family friend, Leanne Mackey, aimed to raise awareness and funds to support the ongoing efforts to seek justice.
"The event went wonderfully, with over $500 raised from the silent auction and vendors," said Leanne Mackey, organizer of the event.
All funds raised at the event will go directly towards the Moses family's attorney fees, as they continue to seek justice for Kaden. The event was a testament to the power of community and the unwavering support of those who knew and loved Kaden. Attendees enjoyed food, music, and a silent auction.
The Justice for Kaden Moses fundraising event was more than just a gathering – it was a declaration of love, support, and determination. As the community continues to rally behind Kaden's family, one thing is clear: justice will be sought, and Kaden's memory will never be forgotten.
When asked about future plans, Mackey stated, "They will be hosting more events soon."
For those who were unable to attend the event but would like to support the Moses family's quest for justice, donations can be made to the Justice for Kaden fund. Please contact Leanne Mackey at 803-261-4658 to contribute. Every donation brings the family one step closer to seeking justice for Kaden.
