CLINTON'S VISION

CLINTON, SC, USA May 14, 2026 – The City of Clinton is pleased to share its newly adopted vision statement and mission. Drafted in late 2025, these foundational elements are intended to guide City of Clinton employees and City Council as they fulfill the 2026-2030 Strategic Plan.

“We wanted a clear statement to share with residents and visitors to best embody what Clinton is today – and where we want to be in the future. Beyond the vision, we also felt it was important to have a mission that guides not only our long-term planning, but also our day-to-day activities. By combining the vision and the mission with the six principles, we have a decisive indicator to help us set goals and prioritize our work. Plus, it’s a great rally cry to inspire our team,” shared City Manager Joey Meadors.

Vision Statement

The City’s vision statement reads:

Our vision is to be a connected, welcoming, and forward-thinking community that values transparency, economic vitality, strong neighborhoods, and a high quality of life for all residents.

City Mission

The City has also adopted a defined mission, with a set of key guiding principles:

To serve the citizens of Clinton with integrity, efficiency, and innovation while fostering partnerships, supporting sustainable growth, and strengthening community pride.
