Presbyterian College’s String Quintet and Orchestra delivered an elegant and energetic “Classical” Concert on Thursday night in Edmunds Hall. Led by the engaging Dr. Giovani Briguente, the program showcased standout performances from PC’s talented musicians, including flutists Bianca Buell and Lauryn Kromka and soloist Lauren Smoak, whose Accolay concerto captivated the audience. Works by Haydn, Mendelssohn, Shostakovich, Corelli, and Mozart highlighted the warmth and brilliance of the ensemble. Dr. Briguente previewed exciting plans for next semester, and the community is invited to return for “Light of the World”—Christmas at PC—on December 7 at Belk Auditorium.
