Classic Cars and Hot Coffee Bring Saturday Morning Smiles at Whiteford’s

Locals enjoy cars, coffee, and community

Posted
A bright but chilly Saturday morning set the perfect scene for car enthusiasts to gather at Whiteford’s Drive-In of Clinton on October 4th. From 8 a.m. to noon, the parking lot came alive with gleaming chrome, roaring engines, and plenty of friendly conversation as members of the Laurens Cruisers and other locals rolled in for a morning of fun and fellowship.

With a cup of hot coffee in one hand and a camera (or in many cases, phones) in the other, visitors strolled between rows of classic cars, muscle machines, and vintage trucks. The smell of fresh coffee and breakfast from Whiteford’s mixed with the sound of engines rumbling—a reminder that coffee and old cars truly make a perfect combination.

Many proud owners shared stories about their vehicles—some restored from the ground up, others cherished family heirlooms that have stood the test of time. For the Laurens County Cruisers, the event was a chance to catch up with friends and showcase the craftsmanship and passion behind every car.

Car enthusiasts won’t have to wait long for another chance to join in the fun—the Laurens County Cruisers will be back at Whiteford’s the first Saturday of every month, continuing this beloved tradition of coffee, community, and classic cars.

Whiteford’s Drive-In, a longtime local favorite, provided the ideal backdrop for the gathering—pairing Clinton’s small-town warmth with a shared appreciation for automotive history.

As the morning wrapped up, laughter and the shine of polished fenders lingered—a sure sign that the mix of caffeine, camaraderie, and classic cars never goes out of style.
