The City of Clinton has announced that the Council will consider the Planning Commission's recommendation from a meeting TONIGHT (May 7) related to zoning on 3 city streets.
It is part of a called meeting to discuss the FY 2026-27 budget -- a BUDGET WORKSHOP - set for 6 p.m. on May 12 in the PS Bailey City Council Chambers of the MS Bailey Municipal Center, 211 N. Broad St., Clinton. The meeting is open to the public.
Prior to a "Budget Workshop - Discussion of Preliminary Budget for Fiscal Year 2026-2027," Council will consider possible action on this item:
"... a rezoning matter concerning property within the City of Clinton located at 104, 106, 111, 112 Davidson Street, 103 Campbell Street, and 521, 523, and 527 Musgrove Street, being identified as Laurens County Tax Map Numbers 901-10-01-007, -009, -013, and -014, and other matters related thereto following the May 7, 2026 Planning Commission Meeting."
The Council conducted a Budget Workshop on April 30 that lasted 2 hours and 27 minutes -- it, and the Council's May 4 regular meeting lasting 1 hour and 15 minutes, are accessible through the City's YouTube channel. The Council's Finance Committee met Wednesday afternoon.
