The investigation revealed that 26-year-old Jordan Trevion Sweeney forcibly abducted a female victim from the front yard of the residence before fleeing the scene. Officers acted swiftly, tracking the suspect and victim with the help of the Laurens County Sheriff’s Office, Greenville County Sheriff’s Office and local commercial security staff.

The vehicle used in the abduction was located shortly after on Sweeney Road in Simpsonville, where officers safely recovered the victim. Jordan Sweeney fled on foot, prompting a pursuit.

Sweeney remains at large and is considered armed and dangerous. The public is urged not to approach him.

“We are grateful for the swift, coordinated response of all involved agencies, which led to the safe recovery of the victim,” said Laurens Police Chief Heath Copeland. “We are working diligently to locate Sweeney and bring him into custody as soon as possible.”
