Why do you people traveling this street have to drive so fast?

Editor,

My name is Kristie Riser and with my husband, Mike, live on Pinewood Avenue, and I think the word is out among cats “if you can make it to Mike and Kristie’s house, you will have a home.”

So, yes, we do have cats, mainly strays, which have strayed into our yard from various places, and everyone traveling Pinewood Ave., has to know these cats are here, and they basically become pets.

This brings me to my point - why do you people traveling this street have to drive so fast, especially one driving a black minivan?

I do not know who ran over our cat, which has become a pet, and this makes about nine run-overs in the last two years, but you know you did it.

We cannot tell these cats “don’t go near the road,” but I wish we could, so all I can ask is, “Please, drive the posted speed limit of 25 mph and do not come by at unreasonable speeds like the black minivan and some others. You know who you are!"
