Laurens County - The Laurens County Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce the launch of Visit Laurens County, a new initiative to promote tourism in the area.
For many years the Laurens County Chamber of Commerce (the Chamber) has served as the Tourism arm of Laurens County, working closely with Laurens County Administration and Laurens County Park, Rec, and Tourism. In 2022, through this partnership, the Chamber completed an extensive search to recruit the perfect candidate to fill the long-awaited role of Tourism Marketing Manager, under the Chamber umbrella. In October 2022, Christian Taylor accepted this position and has been working to develop and implement a strategic plan with one key piece ready for reveal.
Visit Laurens County is a new website with connected social media that will focus on promoting the County’s many attractions, including its historic sites, recreation, and charming small towns. Educational initiatives are being developed to highlight the key benefits and unique attributes that Laurens County has to offer.
“We believe Visit Laurens County will play a vital role in the economic development and quality of life in our County,” said Amanda Munyan, Laurens County Chamber of Commerce President & CEO. “Tourism is a major economic driver, and we’re confident our Tourism efforts will help to attract new visitors and businesses to the area.”
The launch of Visit Laurens County is a major milestone for the County’s tourism industry. The initiative is expected to have a significant impact on the local economy, and it will help to establish Laurens County as a unique destination as it develops and grows for years to come.

This full-time Tourism Marketing Manager position is tasked with the responsibility of creating and managing a comprehensive program of tourism development and promotion for Laurens County, SC. The primary responsibility was to grow tourism-related revenues in Laurens County through the effective use of strategic planning, leadership skills, community assets, industry knowledge and relationships, and evolving tourism practices. This includes public relations, marketing and advertising, social media, event planning and various promotions in partnership with County municipalities.
