Clinton High School's lacrosse team played its final home match Tuesday in Wilder Stadium. Seniors were recognized at halftime of the match against Dorman. Red Devil Lady Lax has won matches this season against TL Hanna and Lexington, and will play its final match today (April 12) at Spartanburg. CHS Athletics announced last season that it was discontinuing lacrosse. Players, parents and fans asked for one more spring season, so the then-juniors could have their senior season. This completes the transition season, as CHS Athletics moves from lacrosse to girls soccer, fielding a JV girls soccer team this spring in addition to boys junior varsity and varsity soccer.
