On Aug. 23, Clinton played host to the Laurens-Clinton high school varsity football ball run - by the cross-country teams, from KC Hanna Stadium in Laurens to the uptown stage in Clinton, 12 miles - and the Welcome Back, Presbyterian College event and the inaugural Music on Main, the first fall music series for Main Street Clinton. The football rivalry game was played Aug. 24 in Clinton's Wilder Stadium. PC students, faculty and staff had the chance to walk among tables and tents with local churches, businesses and service organizations represented, eat some food and listen to the beginning of the Mighty McFly concert from the West Main St. stage, in front of Wilson's Curb Market.
