Polka & Beer & Brats on a cool autumn evening

In spite of the double-whammy, Clinton proves it can put on a festival

Posted

Clinton proves that despite a devastating fire and severe hurricane damage, our city can still put on a festival, with Scots & Brats this past Saturday at The Lumberyard on Gary Street.

Authentic polka music is provided by the Appalachian Freunde Polka Band, and the featured performance is local country/rock artist Andrew Wooten. Games, food and, of course, beer also are the featured attractions.

Noteworthy: We have all had a very challenging Fall and putting this festival together has been no exception.  Damage from Helene all across the city, including at Vance Park, forced us to move the location at the last minute and change up some of the offerings.  One change that the community will enjoy is that due to our generous sponsors at the City of Clinton, Clinton Newberry Natural Gas Authority, and Prisma Health, we are able to make all the gaming activities available for free.  We hope it is a fun and enjoyable way for our community to come together over good food, music, and fellowship and turn the page towards the Holiday Season!

See you there! Jim Spry, Main Street Clinton
