GREENVILLE -- Phyllis Ann Davis Kramm, born July 31, 1939, in Kingsport, Tennessee, was the cherished daughter of George Walker Davis and Mildred Nones Davis.

A true daddy’s girl, Phyllis often shared stories of the beautiful music her father would play and the joy it brought to her childhood. Those early memories remained close to her heart throughout her life.

At a young age, her family relocated to Clinton, South Carolina, where she spent her formative years. Phyllis loved to regale her family with stories of growing up in Clinton. Among her favorites were long afternoons spent with her aunts in the garden and kitchen, cooking side by side, and memories of her first job at the local dime store with her best friend, Anne. Those early experiences shaped the natural gift for connection that would define her professional life.

She built a career in customer service, working at a local accounting agency in Laurens, South Carolina, later at Jostens, and eventually at a local hotel before retiring. In retirement, she devoted herself to focusing on her health and lovingly supporting and caring for her mother, Mildred.

Phyllis was a fierce prayer warrior. She faithfully kept a diary of the names and concerns of those on her heart, lifting them daily in conversation with the Lord. Her faith was not reserved for Sundays; it was woven into every part of her life. She never ceased her quiet, steady dialogue with her Savior and lived in joyful anticipation of His return.

She also held a deep love for politics—not only for policy and law, but for the people behind the offices. She took a genuine interest in learning the personal stories of local, national, and world leaders, always eager to understand the heart behind leadership.

In 1988, while working on the Bush campaign, she met the love of her life, Bohdan. They shared 37 wonderful years of marriage built on faith, partnership, and devotion. She was the proud mother of three children whom she loved deeply and without reservation. Her role as grandmother and great-grandmother brought her immeasurable joy, and she embraced it fully.

Phyllis delighted in a Hallmark movie any time of year and embodied the grace of a true Southern lady—sweet tea never too far from reach and a peppermint always tucked away, ready to offer comfort to someone in need.

Above all, she will be remembered for her steadfast faith, her servant’s heart, and her unwavering love for her family. Her legacy of prayer, kindness, and devotion will live on in all who were blessed to know her.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, October 29, 2026 at 11:00 AM at Fort Jackson National Cemetery.
