CLINTON, SC - Wednesday, December 4, was a night to remember as the Presbyterian College Jazz Band presented "Funk Time," a high-energy jazz/funk concert that got the crowd moving. Held at PC's Belk Auditorium, the free event was open to the public and drew a diverse audience of music lovers.
The evening's festivities were highlighted by show-stopping performances from vocalists CJ Davis and Amy Link. Their soulful renditions of funk and jazz classics like "I feel good" by James Bown and "Gotta Be This or That" by Sunny Skylar earned them thunderous applause and cheers.
Under the direction of Dr. Giovani Briguente, the Presbyterian College Jazz Band delivered a tight, energetic set that showcased their impressive musical chopsand improvisation. From the opening notes, it was clear that this was going to be a special night, and the band did not disappoint.
Dr. Briguente, PC Director of Bands, was beaming with pride after the concert. "Clinton is now a funky town!" he exclaimed. "The energy and talent on display tonight was incredible. I'm so proud of our students and the music program here at PC."
The concert was a testament to the talent and dedication of the students in the Presbyterian College Jazz Band. Their passion for music was evident in every note they played, and their enthusiasm was infectious.
