Our New Favorite Day

Posted

For the first time - May 12, 2017 - Clinton High School brings to the auditorium stage every senior who has declared for college. The College Day program features seniors signing a banner based on the college they plan to attend, and freshmen watching the process and receiving tips from Class of 2016 members on how to prepare for college. CHS Principal Maureen Tiller said, "The majority here are 9th graders and you are a GEAR UP group. Set your goals. Set yourself up for success. Everyone signing today has earned it. It's what they wanted to do, rather than what they had to do." Piedmont Technical College had the most seniors signing on to the banner, with Presbyterian College, Lander University, Clemson University and the University of South Carolina - Columbia als having large groups declare as freshmen-in-the-fall.
