Joanna, SC – The clouds were dark, but the spirit of community shined through at the Joanna Spring Festival and Car Show. Held on April 26, 2025, at Joanna Park from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event offered a lively mix of activities, entertainment, and local flavor, delighting visitors of all ages.

A highlight of the festival was the car show, featuring a stunning display by the Laurens County Cruisers. Enthusiasts gathered to admire the gleaming vehicles, and trophies were awarded to the Top 3 cars, recognizing the hard work and pride of their owners.

Food lovers had plenty to enjoy, with barbecue, snow cones, and a variety of local baked goods available for purchase. Visitors were also treated to free popcorn, shaved ice, and cotton candy, courtesy of Fountain of Faith Church of Joanna, adding a sweet touch to the sunny afternoon.

Entertainment was plentiful, with live music performed by the local band Chillbilly, who kept the crowd energized throughout the day. Kids and families had a blast with inflatables provided by BIG AIR of Laurens and cooled off at the Joanna Park splash pad. Fountain of Faith Church also offered free lawnmower train rides, a crowd favorite among the younger attendees.

Craft vendors set up booths around the park, offering a wide range of handmade goods, including Paparazzi jewelry and brooms sold to support the Lion’s Club, giving visitors a chance to shop while supporting local causes.

Despite a cloudy start to the morning, the event staff were pleased with how the day turned out. One organizer shared, "The worry of rain kept people away this morning, but all in all, we had a good turnout and a good day."

As the afternoon sun finally broke through the clouds, laughter filled the air, music echoed across the park, and the smell of barbecue lingered in the breeze — a true testament to the heart and resilience of Joanna. With the success of this year's festival, residents are already looking forward to gathering again next spring, proving that rain or shine, the community spirit in Joanna is stronger than ever.
