All kinds of Zombies and Good Witches, along with a Darth Vader and Flower Power Girl, and even ... Santa (?) walked the streets of uptown Clinton Oct. 29 for the City of Clinton's Spooktacular. Inflatables and a train ride kept the kids busy until the costume contest got underway, and prizes were given in age categories following a parade of costumes. Community groups and businesses set up tables around the Square, including School District 56 that gave away a ton of books to young and young-at-heart readers. Halloween trick-or-treating was Monday, Oct. 31 in Clinton, and also on Halloween, Presbyterian College held its annual Thornwell Home for Children party, for the kids of its neighbor on South Broad Street, and the Music Department added spooky music with the Hallowinds Concert. - Photos by Vic MacDonald
