There was Hopping, but because of the weather no Glo-ing at the March 24 family-fun Easter event in Clinton’s Vance Park. Organizers hoped – hopped ? – for an evening egg hunts and games, movie and food event, but the threat of showers moved the event to the afternoon. Main Street Clinton SC and the City of Clinton partnered with businesses and community organizations – the New Woodmen of the World sponsored the prizes – for fun, highlighted by an outdoors showing of the move, “Hop.” Egg hunts were for ages 0-4, 5-9 and 9-12 in designated areas of Vance Park, located at the rear of the MS Bailey Municipal Building. Pictures with the Easter Bunny, concessions and prizes, and rides around the park in the city’s antique fire truck completed the 3-hour festival. – Photos by Vic MacDonald
